Mixed weather continues in the Chobe at the moment. Temperature of 30 degrees and a fair amount of cloud cover.

There are a number of Chobe Lodge’s in and around the Chobe National Park.  Which one you choose will depend largely on your budget

The Chobe Safari Lodge gets better and better.  Following its superb redevelopment the Chobe Safari Lodge boasts one of Kasane’s best properties.

The phased redevelopment has completely realigned the property and this well positioned lodge on the boundry of the the park is a historic gem.

Temperatures have continued to build in the district. Today is overcast but still the recorded temperature in Kasane is 30 degrees.

Temperatures are heating up as we head into October.  With waterholes in the interior drying up animals are concentrated near the permanent waters of the Chobe River and the flood plain is particularly busy.

The waters in the Okavango Delta are now receeding following one of the largest floods in 50 years.  The higher than normal rain in Angola and unseasonal rain in June contributed to a spectacular flood and have resulted in a number of previously dry rivers starting to flow again.  These include the famous Savuti and Boteti Rivers.
