Guests at Chobe Game Lodge were privileged to see lion from the lodge viewing deck overlooking the river. The two resident male spent much of the afternoon next to the river just beyond Watercart. Guests on Chobe National Park safaris generally see huge herds of elephant and buffalo in the afternoon and lions in the morning.

The past couple of days has seem spectacular game viewing in the park.  Game drives return with tales of lions, leopards, the endangered wild dog and of course elephants and buffalo.

The weather has been mixed with the odd shower, but this has kept temperatures down.

Bird wise, the summer migrants have started to arrive, adding to the techicolour experience.

A storm continues to brew over the Chobe National Park. Thunder rents the air. Will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

First rain of the 2009/10 season.  27 September 09 at 1805.  A really big storm has whipped out of nowhere and is getting stronger all the time.

Mixed weather continues in the Chobe at the moment. Temperature of 30 degrees and a fair amount of cloud cover.
