Watercart and the eastern floodplains

Stretching from the Sedudu Gate to Chobe Game Lodge in the west, Watercart is perhaps one of Africa’s most prolific game viewing areas.  Huge herds of elephant and buffalo make their way out of the bush and onto the floodplain to drink and refresh themselves in a safe environment.  Safaris provided by operators in Kasane and Kazengula give guests the opportunity to see these vast herds up close whilst those staying at Chobe Game Lodge can see the great mass of animals from the lodge.

Campsites in the Chobe National Park

Booking campsites within the National Parks and Game Reserves is now the responsibility of the various independant camp site operators within the National Parks.  There are a number of campsites outside the parks most of which offer better facilities than those within the parks.  Contact us on info@thebookingcompany.net for more information.

Guests at Chobe Game Lodge were privileged to see lion from the lodge viewing deck overlooking the river. The two resident male spent much of the afternoon next to the river just beyond Watercart. Guests on Chobe National Park safaris generally see huge herds of elephant and buffalo in the afternoon and lions in the morning.

Great Game Viewing in Chobe

The past couple of days has seem spectacular game viewing in the park.  Game drives return with tales of lions, leopards, the endangered wild dog and of course elephants and buffalo.

The weather has been mixed with the odd shower, but this has kept temperatures down.

Bird wise, the summer migrants have started to arrive, adding to the techicolour experience.

Stormy weather Continues

A storm continues to brew over the Chobe National Park. Thunder rents the air. Will be interesting to see how this one plays out.
